Virtual Choir 2021
We have come up with a very special music activity for you to do while you are eLearning. We are going to create a whole school Virtual eLearning Choir!!
Each part of the school will have a different part to sing. Watch the video tutorials below, practice your part, then record yourself singing your part.

Headphones with a microphone. Use a mobile phone headset (if you don't have a headset, you can probably borrow one from a friend or family member).
A device with a camera to make a video: Mobile phone/Ipad/computer.
After you have recorded yourself singing your part in the song; please send your video in as an attachment by clicking the link below
What you will send in:
Send in short videos of you singing parts of the song perfectly. Please make sure of the following:
Use headphones so that you can hear the backing track, but the camera only records your voice.
Make sure that your singing is perfect. The words must be clear, the notes must be correct and you must be perfectly in time with the demo choir.

The end of the song has a very special part for our very special Pre-KG and KG as well as our grade 1 and 2 students.
Listen to Heal the world (attached below) from 4.22 to the end. The words starting at 4.22 that you need to sing are in the low part:

How to do it?
Listen, copy, memorise. Then, when you are ready and feeling confident, make a video of you singing along.
Video yourself singing along with headphones. This is because we only want to hear your voice in the recording.
Make sure you find a nice quiet place to do this so there is no noise in your recording other than your beautiful voice.
Once you have recorded yourself singing this part perfectly - send it in and move on to the next challenge below!

Start the video above at 4.22 and play to the end. Please sing along to the high part with the following words and repeat it 6 times.

IMG_1412 - Anne Le.movAfter you have recorded yourself singing the first chorus perfectly send it in, and move on to the next challenge. Recording the Second, and Third chorus!! Upload these separate files by clicking the link above.
The First Chorus begins at 0.53 and ends at 1.16.
The Second Chorus begins at 1.56 and ends at 2.19 (just before the bridge).
The Third Chorus begins at 3.19 and is actually a Double Chorus!! It is one tone higher (in a new key - F Major) and then it steps up again by one tone (into another new key G Major).
Changing keys is called "Modulation" from the French word "Mode" meaning 'Fashion'. Modulation literally means to "change the fashion" and in this case, we change the key to make the music more exciting and interesting! Please ensure that you take time to practice and record this very interesting and exciting version of the chorus!
At the end of the third chorus, you can keep singing the Tag line (or "Coda" in Italian meaning "Ending"). You can sing "You and for me" and keep repeating that line until the end of the song.
