Best version of a Coronavirus song.
Most artistic editing of a music video.
Best lip singing.
Most fun music video.
Any other prize deemed worthy by the judging panel.
(Prizes categories: Overall, Grade 9-10, Grade 6-8, and by Grade level)
Note: Overall prize winners will win a Certificate of Achievement, and a place in the battle of the band's semi-final when we return to school.

Make a Music Video
You may choose your song.
Standard School Rules Apply
- It must be school appropriate to be shown at school
Task-specific regulations:
Your video should be around 2-3 minutes in length, however, if inspiration finds you it may extend up to 5 minutes in length. Judges will not watch beyond 5 minutes.
You may be either in the video or editing the video.
You may work solo or as part of a team up with friends or family and they may be in the video too.
Lyrics may be in any language including English, Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish or French, however, a translation must be provided. Subtitles should be provided in English.
Where inappropriate lyrics enter a song, you may change those lyrics in order to continue with your song.
Review your video before you submit. Think twice about your language, clothing, and dance moves - eg. Don't get caught on camera breaking school rules or standards
Get a friend or family member to check your work before submitting to school.

4.11 Be able to perform a repertoire of music, solo or in a group, paying attention to performance practice, breath control, posture and tone quality.
4.13 Be able to display a range of emotions while playing instruments and/or singing
4.14 Be able to improvise, extend or create music to express emotion, ideas, creativity and imagination

1. Do I have to do the task? Yes, if you are in Grade 6-10 this is part of your coursework for music and will be used as part of your Semester 2 assessment.
2. Do I have to enter the competition? No. You are not required to compete for prizes, however you still need to complete the task and submit by April 12 You can choose choose not to be considered for a prize.
3. What program or App should I use? You can choose this. Attached is an article with 10 free music video maker apps.
4. Can I sing my favourite song? Yes. You can choose any song.
5. Can I play an instrument instead of singing? Yes.
6. Can I sing my own song. Yes.
7. Can I work with a friend or family? Yes.
8. What is the time limit? 3-5 mins
9. Can I make a cartoon? Yes.
10. Can I use Sound Trap to make the audio? Yes.
